The project “Bridging the skills gap to create new and better jobs”, aiming to help create trained professionals in the field of renewable energy, undertook several activities, duly implemented. Skills Needs Assessment was first performed in the renewables sector, which addressed the new job profiles in the industry as well as the skills required for these profiles (occupations). According to this assessment, two profiles were identified: Fitter, installer and maintenance worker for hybrid photovoltaic and thermal collectors and also Fitter, installer and maintenance worker for photovoltaic panels, for which we created suitable job standards and programs.
The project realized a two-day introductory training for new occupations in the sector related to hybrid photovoltaic and thermal collectors.
